2017 Fiesta Door Mirror Not Working

I recently purchased  a fiesta and the drivers side door mirror does not work. The passenger side miror adjusts and folds as it should


I tried a second hand switch but it didnt make any difference, I find it hard to believe that all the motors have failed and have been tring to connect a 12v supply to the mirror wiring connector to see if there is any life in the motors but I don't know which wire is the ground/ earth.


Has anyone encountered this problem and know what could be wrong ?


It is a 3 door car

Get a cheap multimeter if you dont have one. Cheap sub £5 will be fine for

12v vehicle work.


Place the black probe onto a good earth point and then probe one wire on the

passenger side as someone actuates the switch. See which wires get power and

repeat on the same connector/wire on the drivers side.


No power when the switch is pressed then its a power issue, if there is power then

its a mirror/motor issue.


Assume the mirror has not been replaced for a cheaper non motorised one?

Ok thanks for that. Its certainly worth a try and I would know if it is a power issue or not
