Hello everyone;

These are my Focus' specifications:

Date of production: 2nd of May 2006
Engine: 2.0i 16V Duratec-HE; 107 kW

Transmission: Manual; 5+R
Body: 5-door hatchback
Trim: Ghia
Wheels and tyres: OEM 7x17 wheels (from facelift Titanium model) with OEM tyres dimensions 205/50/17

ETIS states:

- With Standard Suspension
- With Standard Rear Shock Absorbers

This will be a bit longer post, but please be patient me with as I want to clarify some things.

So, after inserting my car characteristics in their website, I have ordered Eibach Pro-Kit from the official Eibach shop (this one exactly: https://eibachshop.c...focus-ii-saloon). It will be at my address in a few days.

It says that the product code is E10-35-016-01-22 and that the front springs are F11-55-008-02-VA and that the rear springs are F11-35-016-01-HA

So far so good, but, after I open the first certificate (ABE1035016) it says that the F11-55-008-02-VA are not for Focus ST and not for 2.0 petrol (which is my engine). It states that the 2.0 petrol should use same front springs as all diesels (F11-35-014-02 VA). Please check out the fifth page of that certificate - https://eibachshop.c.../ABE1035016.PDF

After I open the second certificate (E1035016) it says that F11-55-008-02-VA are for all petrol engines (except for ST). Please check out the third page - https://eibachshop.c...ad/E1035016.PDF

So, which certificate is correct? According to the first one, I my front springs aren't correct and according to the second they actually are correct.

How come their search engine gives me F11-55-008-02-VA code for my car, bur first certificate says those are not for 2.0 petrol and then the second certificate says that they acutally are?

Upon searching a bit more, UK Eibach shop says that they are correct - https://www.eibachsh...04-07 - 2012-09   and https://www.eibachsh...05-06 - 2008-09

Also, official eibach.de catalogue says that they are correct for my car - http://web2.carparts...015&14=4&12=130

Please, can somebody clarify me why does the table in first certificate says that the F11-55-008-02-VA front springs are not for 2.0 petrol, while all the other links state that they acutally are?

Thank you for your patience and I'm looking forwards to your answers.

P. S. The rear springs are correct.

Hi

Add you Vin no to this site: https://www.catcar.i...ord/?lang=en&l=

Go to section 9 for lowering springs and this should give Ford Part No. Add this to google or eBay site and hopefully will link to a seller showing corresponding Eibach part number.

Hi

Only direct link on google for Ford No. 1358918 to an Eibach No. is E10-35-016-02-22 in attached pic. This shows both numbers on one box.

Next three pics from Venom catalog, this puts 2.0 in with heavier Diesel engines. Small Petrol engines listed with front axle weight of 1005Kg while 2.0 included with Diesel engines with front axle weight of 1070Kg. Do you have an owners manual listing axle weights by any chance. Only previous occasions I have seen where an engine has been put up to a higher axle weight is when an auto box is fitted. Auto gearboxs obviously weight more than manual.

Venom catalog seems to match Ford label on Eibach box but this varies with your information.

Axle weights should be on the VIN sticker.

ST56, thank you. Im very much confused as to why there are so many inconsistent information. :S

I will see my axle weights on my VIN sticker and I'll let you know.

Mine's a 5-speed manual with Ghia trim. It came out of factory on 16-inch alloy wheels 205/55/16

So what does it mean in my case, given the fact that the front axle weight isn't 1005 kg or more?

Hi

Sounds then as if the E10-35-016-01-22 springs should work fine then, if you fitted those rated for 1070Kg front of car would sit a little high.
