Good morning all,

Our community car scheme have two Tourneo Connect vans and they are diesels.
In the one I use at least, a 66 plate, there are what appears to be two cruise control buttons on the dash by the lights rotary switch, but nothing else for cruise control.?

Do Ford just use a standard switch for fog lights, lights and cruise control?

In the manual it states there will be controls on the steering column. We do not have any.?

TIA

Is it the speed limiter not the cruise control?

No idea Purple, which is why I asked.?

Even pressing them, does not bring anything up on the dash?, that was why I was thinking it was only a 'standard' switch.?

I have the van later today, so I will look through the manual again for speed limiter.

Thanks for the reply.

Why not take the switch out and see if there are any wires on those buttons.

Not a bad idea if the van was mine, but it belongs to the community scheme.

I don't think they would like me playing around with it in that way, even if it is just trying to pop a switch out of the dash. :)

I've just put it away for the night and forgot to check the manual. :( I'll just forget about it.

Thanks for the reply.

Thanks Purple,

The vans do not get used much at night, but I will try later.

Confident that you are correct though, as now you have pointed that out, I can see the image would reflect that. :(

Hi Purple,

Had to use the van yesterday and could see that you are spot on, in that it they are brightening/dimming switches for the dashboard.

Sorry, I had only seen single rotary switches until these. :(

Its probably one of those features that most people dont even touch.

Press the buttons whilst new and in the daylight where nothing appears to happen

and then drives around with some random setting which maybe bright or dim.  :)
