I recently bought a mk5 st line mondeo and woul like to change the gearstick gaiter,I managed to do it on my mk4 and mk3 before,but for the life of me I haven’t got a clue with the mk5 and scared of damaging the console any help would be much appreciated 👍

Just go on You Tube and search Mk5 Mondeo Centre Console

OR Mondeo Mk5 Cup Holders

Here is one example that should help - most cars are just clipped together these days

Hi

Would recommend you search eBay for Trim Tool, cheapest set in uk about £2. You can then remove trim with minimal risk of damage. Would not advise use of screwdriver like YouTube vid.

Beware, retaining clips can slip off trim an disappear down behind carpet never to be seen again.
