having the same problem think my rings are gone have been quoted £1800 for an engine rebuild not good,what was the fuchs oil communist is that 5.30 or 5.40,have the same engine as the OP cheers.

5w30. Got it from Opie.

I don't think its a miracle cure if your rings are gone, but it seems like it vapourises less easily so perhaps gets through the PCV system less. My catch can isn't get much of it.
