If you've got a Walkers exhaust and tyres near you..give them a try. The original f/f exhaust is a one-piece which was fitted before the 2 halves of the car were joined together, as you've discovered, and it's replacement is a 2-piece, so depending how bad the rest of the exhaust is, it's either best to renew the lot, so next time you just renew the bad bit, or can a back box fit onto the end of what's left of the exhaustts... 🤔

Centre pipe is cheap anyway, makes sense to just swap that out.

If an after market part can be fettled to fit the oem original... 🤔
That's where it can get messy, different diameters, different bends..
Not everyone's like Ed China :-)
