I’ve just purchased a 2009 fiesta1.25 Zetec, private seller, on further inspection by a mechanic, he found water pooling in the drivers side rear foot well and the boot floor carpet was also damp. Has anyone had the same problem, if so, where was the water coming in?

Is the car parked level or nose up/down? Water leaks can be tricky as the actual
leak point maybe nowhere near where the water collects.
Door drains blocked? Rubber seals in the door aperture allowing water past them?
Rubber seals between the door and the glass?
