The mechanic thought it could be the rear light cluster, after testing, by pouring water over the area, he found it to be dry.
Please help if you can.

Is the car parked level or nose up/down? Water leaks can be tricky as the actual
leak point maybe nowhere near where the water collects.
Door drains blocked? Rubber seals in the door aperture allowing water past them?
Rubber seals between the door and the glass?
