Having had to do a 36 mile round trip the day before and showing no symptoms in previous days, got in car in morning drove round corner and over a speed bump and lo and behold i hear and feel.... bump, bump and scrape...ish. Straight away I think spring broke, get car in garage and sure enough offside rear spring snapped in 3... yes.... 3 places...... Anyway all done and fixed .... :first: :pimms: :driving:

I lived in Nottingham for a while and there are literally speed bumps everywhere, every side street you just can't avoid them.
It's much needed as the BMW mummy's boy racer are fookin mental.
Had to get both front springs replaced on my kuga as a result.. £380. It had only done 60k and I don't thrash it.
I was quite shocked when it failed mot but he guy said it's the speed bumps chap..we do loads of springs every year.
I now live in Suffolk which is speed bump and speed camera free 👍☺️

Hi

We have a 20mph zone around us with anti-speed bumps, fair enough as there is a school close by. They even used the kids to design the signage.

Unfortunately where residents have to take there time 24/7 to limit damage to vehicle’s, pre COVID most Parents seem to drive 4x4’s or van’s and twice daily just bounce through without even slowing down.
