Over the last couple of weeks the spanner has shown up on the dash, followed by a dip in power, reluctance to change gear but all goes back to normal after a couple of seconds, and spanner symbol disappears.

Only occurs when accelerating harder than usual above 65mph, never happened below 65mph.

Spanner symbol has never stayed lit longer than 10 seconds before it clears itself.

I have downloaded forscan and purchased and obdii jobbie, and the dtc I can see are P008A. See attached.

The car is a 2015 MK5 2.0 150hp diesel powershift, 60000 miles roughly.

I have read other forums and the intermittent spanner has been linked to other other causes:

oil pressure solenoid: https://www.fordowne...-spanner-light/

egr: https://talkford.com...function/page-6

Has anyone had a similar issue with these dtc and solved the issue.

thanks is advance.

When was the last time the fuel filter was replaced?

I'd monitor fuel pressure in Forscan and take it for a drive - see if the fuel pressure drops when accelerating hard.

I had service done at 51000 miles, Jan 2020, however looking at the invoice it only lists oil filter and cabin filter.

I purchased the car from  Lookers Ford Jan 2019 33000 miles with full service...

If possible, drive the car whilst plotting fuel rail pressure (FRP) alongside engine load and rpm in Forscan. This should tell you if it's fuel starvation.

First port of call would typically be the fuel filter as the service intervals are fairly long.
