Can anybody help me out and tell me where the PTC (electric cabin heater) fuse is? I've looked on every fuse box diagram I can find and can't even see an 80a fuse. I say 80a because other sources tell me the fuse is 80a.

 

I have the PTC heater fitted (I can see it) but it doesn't turn on using any heater setting (or the MAX button). The car is a 2012 Tit X (2.0 diesel) estate if it helps.

On the front of the battery

Thanks - I checked the 80a fuse (and the others) and it was fine (same resistance as the others).

Turns out the battery was under voltage. I knew it was weak (original, 9yrs old) but at 10.8v the car wouldn't start when icy. Wouldn't take a charge so I replaced it for a meaty Bosch S5010.

Now the PTC heater works. So it seems if the car is struggling for voltage it turns off things you don't need.
