Hi, the threads on my fixing bolt are corroded. The nut won't screw onto bolt. Are theses bolts replaceable? I had a look in the boot for the other side of it but couldn't see it.

Thanks again.

My solution Colmans mustard lids/plastic bottle tops, no corrosion. Pierce smallest hole and screws on tight. 4403f00a1dfc51c0fa1fcd3c90d1eda0.jpg1c395b0812d48e1cb4d480a728b17453.jpg

Nice one. Will the lid not just slide off? I was thinking using a tin can or something but thought it would just fall off.

Drill a undersize hole and it screws on tight ,mine has been on 3yrs

and passes MOT 3 yrs ,plastic does not corrode and i flavour (sic) the

wider Colmans lids a lot tastier .

Thanks. Just tried it with a bottle cap. It does go on quite well but my lid was to small.

Will get a bigger lid and do again. Thank you both.

I need to patent this plastic top idea, Colmans mustard lids are wide and have a

nice blob in the center to hold tightly onto the rusty thread, remember to drill

a undersize hole.

There is a sudden shortage of jars of Colmans mustard in supermarkets

as diy mechanics stock up on these tasty yellow lids. :driving:
