The heated windscreen on my 1996 Mondeo MK1 has a number of contacts missing now, and virtually unuseable as a demister: this is not a major problem otherwise the screen is in excellent condition. Is there a method in restoring the electrical contacts which run horizontally ? I propose to keep this car as a potential classic. it has 68000 miles on the clock, runs maybe 1000 miles per annum now and have bought a new, spare  heated windscreen, amongst other spares.

TKS for looking in.

Front windscreen?  The contacts are bonded between the layers. If its failing its

going to need a new one, not serviceable except the edge connectors which

you may be able to repair.

You will find its not the connectors at the top or bottom, failed somewhere in the

centre of the wire.
