Hello All,
New member here - I have very recently purchased a 2011 Mondeo Titanium X 2.0 TDCI 163. Recorded mileage 58k so nice and low for the year.
I've never owned a Ford and so far very pleasantly surprised at how well the car is put together and drives.
I bought the car privately with full service history. A mix of Ford Main dealer and independent garage. But as with any car of this age I tend to do a full major service when I get the car for peace of mind.
Previous owner stated the DPF was changed at around 40k, but there's no paperwork to support. This seems a very low mileage for a DPF to require replacement, but I was told the car was used for short journeys.
I'm looking for engine oil; a lot of websites recommend the below spec when searching via reg number and was recommended by Ford.
A5/B5 Ford M2C913-D, M2C913-C, M2C913-B
but I understand that this oil is typically used in cars without DPF?
A newer DPF standard low SAPS C1 oil is available that is M2C934-B.
Can I get some advice from the forum as to which oil to use?
I appreciate Ford make a recommendation, but having owned Jaguars in the past I know Jag revised the recommended oil spec from 913 to 934 for diesel engines. But I cannot find anything similar from a search on the forum.
Thanks in advance.
