Hi all, 

 

I’m new to this forum but not Fords, most of my cars have been Ford or Ford associated one way or another.

 

Anyway, the reason for this post is to ask if any of you guys could help. My wife has a 2005 Focus and the Sony stereo was terrible, anyway I put in a nice Alpine so she could stream music and have hands free. The down side is it did away with the clock! (No buggy you’d think....)

 

Long story short, she wants a clock. I got a clock from a Mk2 Mondeo as it would be able to fit into the slot on the double din adapter. The downside is, it has 8 pins on the back and for the life of me, I can’t find any wiring diagrams.

 

I was hoping one of you kind chaps would be able to assist.

 

I need to know there earth, live and light dimmer wire as a starter, but if I can be told all 8 that would be a bonus!

8 wires?   Wiring diagram shows 6 pins?

 

 

Pin 1 Ignition Positive

 

Pin 2 interior illumination.

 

Pin 3 Earth

 

Pin 6 Battery Positive

 

 

The others are related to the alarm etc. and not required in your instance.

Gave this a try and unfortunately no luck.

Long shot, but is there anyone that could put a volt meter over the back of their clock for me to check which pins have what?
