Slider pin with rubber sleeve in the bottom hole,
have read the holes on the carrier are marked appropriately or holes are slightly
different size,though i've managed to get the sleeve in both.

Was looking around someone said the bottom on the fronts and top on the rears as the hole as the hole is .009 wider. It was a topic on TF (rear calliper slider pins) someone called stara was his reply from 2014 though hahaha.

Haynes says locate the rubber bush on the lower guide pin
Larger hole for rubber sleeve slider pin.

One hole is definitely larger using the sleeveless slider pin to guage in each hole.

Hi
Clean away the crap where the pins fit into carrier, you should find a dimple drilled into machined face beside one hole. This should be the hole where pin with damper bush fits.
This was definitely on the later MK3 brakes with square pads, hope it’s also there on your earlier carriers with the curved ended pads.

No markings on the Carrier larger hole can only gauge size of hole using the sleeveless slider pin

Has I mentioned in previous post, this indentation was found on the later carriers with the square ended pads. Looks as if not included on earlier design.
