So, My first post.

My mondeo 2001 2.0 Duratec he AUT. developed alot of problems and I have been sorting them out 1 a time, all looking good except the last one.

Misfire under load around 2100 rpm. No fault codes, new or old. In the last 2 months it has got new pcv hose, pcv valve, inlet manifold, aux belt, aux belt tentioner (both), new spark plugs, new coil pack (aftermarket from purchased at ford), and new ht leads.

After changing the coil pack, ht leads and plugs with no joy, I went to a breakers yard and picked up another coil pack and leads (just in case ford sold me s**t) still no joy. Sprayed the inlet side with wd-40 but no reaction...

I´m running out of ideas here... Where do I go from here?

It might not fix your problem but, after doing all those jobs I would suggest an ECU reset. The ECU can sometimes learn to cope with problems but forgets how to adjust once they're corrected and a reset will make it 'relearn'.

My god, just realsied how old the original post is and has had no replies....is this how empty the MK3 petrol section is now ?

I tend to read most MK3 threads created and usually comment on them even if

i cannot help directly but then these crop up and i think never seen that before.

Makes me wonder if I miss them or are they not showing for everyone?
