Hi all, got a rattle from the front suspension on my 2006 galaxy. Its just had a front spring, top mount and drop link replaced in the area where the rattle is coming from. It didn't have this before. It also had pads and discs done at the same time. Rattle can only be heard below 30mph as road noise then overpowers it. Braking or steering doesn't seem to affect it.
Took it back in and they checked everything was tight as far as they could get to with the wheel off. I checked everything myself when the wheel was off and everything seemed solid. Sounds like it's coming from the top mount area to me but difficult to tell. Garage reckon it could be the shock absorber but it's nothing to worry about.
What do you think it could be?

Well, search and find of rattle is a difficult case..My Galaxy 2009 got almost the same problem.

When driving over unstablized bad ground with hobles or at clinker roads, there is knocking sound from the front of the car.

Last few years I've replaced several parts wishbones, anti roll bars and some other rubber bushes at the front.

Did it fix my problem no..

Last year I visited a garage and they told mee that the noise, knocking is caused by Steering rack. Inside the steering rack, there is a play. In some cases with the adjustment nut it can be tighten.
