Swirling falps

Hi guys,

I have a 2.0 Petrol (AOBA) Mondy MK4 and there is some ticking noise coming from the infamous swirling flaps (especially the one corresponding to the no.1 cylinder).

I want to replace the flaps, but I don't have any luck in finding the part no. for MK4. Any chance that the MK3 flaps (1317276 / 1S7G-9Y428-AA) are identical with MK4's?

Cheers!

Looks like the whole inlet manifold is one assembly...

Yep. Ford noticed the catastrophic failure of the flaps on MK3 (due to their bad design), so you'd think they've fix it on MK4. No... not really, but they've just made it completely unserviceable.

I don't trust those cheap £70 manifolds. Ford tried 3 times and didn't managed to manufacture some reliable flaps: the yellow one, the revised MK3 ones, and the MK4 flaps; I can only presume those cheapos will go boom pronto.

Guess I'll have to pick an used manifold and just use some of its flaps.
