just changed my rear droplinks (stabiliser links) and my upper two track control arms, since the change im getting a clunking noise over slight bumps and uneven roads but fine on flat roads such as motorways, all bolts are tight and parts on secure, have i done something wrong here or because there new parts is there any strain elsewhere.

I have same clunk/slap on mk3 after i changed both nearside springs and one front suspension strut complete,

which cured the knocking,as its recommended to renew components on the same axle which i will do,

i am getting this clunk/slap just on the nearside over a dip in the road but no other knocks.

If i get around to the cure before you, i will post the outcome.

Did you remove the parking brake cables from their retaining clips below the rear passenger footwell?

Both brake cables are secured with plastic tie clips,i get the clunk with the front n/s

and clunk with the rear n/s.suspension since i only renewed or disturbed that left side.

I will look at brake cables retainers and exhaust when weather is warmer.

Have someone driving the car and sit down on the rear passenger seat. If the cable is to blame, you'll hear clunks underneath your feet.
