I have a recurring issue with my 55 plate Mondeo ST TDCI. Every now and then, typically when the engine is warm and/or when accelerating the car loses power and the glow plug warning light flashes. I then have to turn the ignition off and back on to make the car return to normal.

There are 2 logged fault codes:

  • U1039 FORD Invalid or Missing Data for Primary Id Vehicle Speed
  • P0406 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor A Circuit High

Any suggestions what could be causing it?

Clear the faults and see which one returns, because they aren't date stamped, so you don't know what's relevant to this fault.
