I'm having this issue on my 2009 Mk4 diesel Mondeo (dashboard losing power/car still running/dashboard powers up again ect).
It just started yesterday (after a rather rain filled day and 'maybe' i went through the odd puddle)
I'm aware that this 'might' be my instrument cluster.
If this were you, what steps would you take to get the console working 100% again
(i use my car for work so aaggghhhh time is an issue 😕)
Thanks (as always) for any replies.

Well, i have the same thing. But intermittent. It's like power cut and then comes back asap. Happens every now and then. Seems like it's more of a wiring issue?

Most often bad solder around MAC main processor or CAN transceiver.

Big problems with older mondeos. Bad solder in cluster leads to all sorts of display problems. Problem can be repaired by varioys companies who will replace faulty parts. Usually for a set price approx £140
