Can someone help me. Iv sprayed the lower front bumper skirt ready to be fitted to my car. Iv used panther black spray paint from halfords and their clear laquer. When its wet it shines like its supposed to but then dries cloudy like a matte finish with shiny parts in places. Iv wet sanded it with 1200 grit paper but no change. I can only spray in the garage as its constantly raining. Is it the fact im using spray cans or moisture in the air or does it just need a good polish to bring it back? I'm really stuck.

If you've wet sanded it you may find compounding it will help but for your arms sake use a machine polisher, a good cutting pad and a good cutting compound.

youll need to wet sand it will upto 3500 grit, the 1200 grit will still have quite a hazing from the small scratches it makes, you go progressively higher grit each time, so 1200-2000-2500-3500 and then the small scratches in the laquer can be cut and polished out a lot easier. for cutting compound use G3 or Meguires cutting compound, then use an actual polish to bring it right out.

Thanks guys iv never used a machine polisher, never sprayed anything till recently. Maybe I should go for a professional detailer after wet sanding again through the grit levels
