Hello

I hava a 2002 Ford mondeo Estate with 2.0 Tddi
So lately i have issues with front camber.
The numbers are in green but rather close to the " red zone"
I wouldn`t really care but I think that is causing extra wear on the insides of the tyres
I went thru a set of fronts with this summer ( 10 000 km )
I put in a set of shock absorbers, new strut bearings and mounts, made it a bit better but still not near to perfect
I had an MOT place find mistakes from the front end, and the only thing they said was that i have a leaking middle muffler, but did mention that the camber is visibly off on the car.
The car hasnt been lowered or been in accidents, Toe was aligned and castor was perfect.
Im starting to think I ned to find some camber plates for the front end.
amyone here have any experience with those .. ?

When you say the toe is within limits, what actually is it.
The allowance is from a toe out to a toe in setting, so, if it is zero or slightly toe out it is within tolerances, and theoretically ok.
BUT, with your situation I would set it to maximum toe in setting allowed

I didn`t take the printout, The last time I changed the tyres, I know they adjusted the Toe because it can be done and it was a bit off, after that the steering wheel was straight and car didn`t pull anywhere.
This time around Toe was in the "Green"  but since i had the car up already i adjusted it a bit to make it as spot on as i could.
Camber in the front left is -1,06 deg
                                right is : -1,54 deg
Should be -1,56 to 0,37

I`ll try and get some time on the lift sometime soon to check if maybe we put the upper strut bushes on a bit wrong.
Turns out you can misaligne those and that might cause camber issues.

The toe figures maybe in the "green" but that just means it is within Ford tolerances, so could be anywhere from toe out to toe in. That's why I asked for your actual toe figures
To help overcome your problem you need to make sure your veh is set to max toe in

Hi

You do not mention replacing lower arms, while settings stationary are within specs any movement within bushes when under load will allow bottom of strut to move relative to car body. For example when braking struts will be pushed back while move forward when accelerating.

The arms and bushes were good, as the MOT guy checked them up and found nothing wrong.
I ended up grinding the balljoint fixing holes, so that i could push the balljoint more in to the arm and that way get rid of the extra camber.
Car is sitting upright now and I hope this is the end for this issue.

You have still not said what the toe figures were, and/or what you have adjusted the toe to now - waste of time people trying to help
