this cloth/carpet thing

as you can see the lugs have snapped off and it's also lost any rigidity it had so it won't stay up anymore and keeps falling out of the slots it used to sit in

any ideas on a fix please folks?

ps, ignore the dirty carpet, it's sand from a passengers dirty feet :(

It's a "one of them"

Take it with you to a Scrap yard and say

"I want one of them"

Place strong tape across the top holes and pierce the clips through the tape.

Or:

Glue the torn tab loopholes back together with some "no-nails" or similar grab glue, massage it in to the fibres.

leave for a day to set then clip in place.

Superglue and baking powder will make a solid, gap filing and sandable finish that will be stronger than when it was new :)

I removed mine years ago. Still sat in the garage.

It seemed like every time I put it back, the scuttle panel leaked meaning I had to take it off again to go and dry out the blower fan. I never got around to putting it back, it's not like it can be seen anyway.

Looks like it's part number 9, ford just refer to it as "Insulator - Dash Panel"

https://ford.7zap.co...02/18295/80148/

I hadn't seen this site before, I found it while hunting for part numbers, but it looks like the images are in higher quality than catcar. Interesting.
