I have a 2019 kuga titanium x , did a sync 3 update yesterday and now shows version has changed from 3.3 to 3.4 but the maps are still version f8, if I now do system check it starts trying to down load a new file but after a few minutes says system up to date, I understand maps should be f9 after an update ???

You could try going to the troubleshooting page of the Ford Sync Updates webpage, here:-
https://www.ford.co....update#/status/
Download the log file generator to a USB2 stick:-
https://www.ford.co....rrogator_AC.zip
Follow the installation instructions on the first page above. That gets the Ford database back in step with your car.
Wait 24 hours, then check again for updates on the Sync Updates web, where you should be offered the latest maps.
