I've seen a mondeo st for sale local to me . It's going cheap but not starting . This is a picture of the description.

Is it worth buying to fix @£500

Throttle pedal out of spec and a turbo issue.

 

Go and have a look and take a good battery and jump leads with you.

 

One cylinder down should still crank over unless its something serious.

 

 

I have had luck buying cars that the owner cannot turn over. Good battery and

jump leads help a lot for the initial attempts. Dont let the battery voltage drop

as that just makes life harder.

 

 

P1693 is an odd code for a MK3 but maybe down to the reader.

 

 

Miss my MK3 2.2L  That engine really pulls.

It is tempting. But its finding a place to store it while I try to sort it. I might give it more time to see if she will drop the price a bit more. She has already said I could have it for £400

Have you got a proper code reader you can take with you, you know, either a Fordiag or a Tunnelrat one? Any.pics?
