Are brake calipers normally suppied with sliders. I put my car into a garage because they said the brake calipers were seizing. However when the car went to have the new calipers fitted they then said that the sliders were seized and they would have to order new ones. I would thought that new calipers would be complete with sliders?

As above just the piston section 99.9% of the time as that is the part that

usually seizes.

Sliders can usually be wire brushed and cleaned and they will work with no issues.

Sometimes they are beyond that. Unless you can check them yourself your stuck and

will have to rely on them being honest.  For them cleaning may take too long and it

may not last.   New parts simply fit and forget  (usually).
