I installed an android head unit many months ago and everything was okay. Then I upgraded my phone OS and started have an annoying issue with BT in the car. The phone and android head unit were happy, but apparently the stock bluetooth is not in the stereo head unit which was removed but is part of the car.

So every 20 seconds the phone would beep, prompting me to sync with "Ford Audio", and the Ford lady voice would talk over the stereo asking me to enter the code displayed on the radio, which obviously wasn't being displayed on the android head unit. And android head unit was doing everything I want over bluetooth, so there is no reason to have the stock bluetooth running as well, but I could not find a way to turn it off.

For other reasons I have the stock head unit installed again, but intend to have the android back ready for service soon.

Is there a way to disable the stock bluetooth?

The Bluetooth module is mounted above the glove box...remove the glove box stick your head in the hole and and look up.

Happy to lose anything to not have that annoying voice all the time!

Thank you, that should be enough for me to find youtube videos that will get me there :)

Okay, finally gotten around to looking, I can't find it.

Not the easiest place to photograph, but can anyone draw an arrow to help?
