my transit connect wont start

after experiencing a leak on my leak of pipe i found a small split in another part of it so i decided to replace the whole assembly (including new clips, new pipes to the pump etc ). i have done this and now the van wont start. it does try but refuses to run. i was wondering does the system reqiure bleeding because it sounds like its starved of fuel but after cracking the injector feeds to all individualy i found a good supply to them. any suggestions would be very welcome. its a tranit connect 1.8 tdci 2009.
