Hello,

my Mondeo 2004, 2.0 85kw shudders when I turn off the engine. Based on info I have found on internet, it looks like faulty anti shudder valve. I have trouble finding it, can anyone help me? Does this motor even have one?

Worn engine mounts or lower engine/gearbox roll mount?

I would start there first. 16 years old they are probably the issue. Failing that start

on the injectors and fuel system in general.

Or DMF failing?

I finally got to replace engine roll mount and it totally solved my problem. As you can see on the photo it was completely destroyed. Than you for you advice.

exact same happened to me, it had split identically to yours in the picture, once replaced all engine movement was back to normal and it even cured a long standing problem i had with 4th gear where it wouldnt engage fully, thought i was gonna need a new gearbox but turned out this torque restrictor caused all my problems, very common failure on the mk3.

To the best of my knowledge, mine does not yet need replacing.  However, as it is not so expensive, it is a job to consider.

Is there a good  quality make to buy, or will almost any (https://www.ebay.co....0IAAOSw-AFeaTSV)) do the job?

Price them up at Ford or oddly Jaguar.  They used to be cheaper from Jaguar

dealers but still stamped Ford.

Just find an X-Type for sale and use that reg number when buying.

Cheap ones are junk, I have a brand new one that was part of a group buy on here

and it was splitting even when new. There were comments on the metal not being

as strong also.

This was less than a month old and straight from teh packaging unused, see the cracks forming.

Can you buy poly bushes to fit into them ???
I’d rather replace with poly bush than buy a new one,, looked on powerflex and they don’t list one ??
