This conversation reminds me of when I was a youngster, drove a really nice looking AVO Escort. MK1 RS1600 wide arches, Minilite wheels. That would draw admiring glances from females, even once the passenger in a Porsche 911 I happened to pass in front of.

 

Unfortunately It was always the car they were looking at.

I once owned a fiesta diesel that used to puff out black smoke like it was a tanker 😂😂,,, 2 females in a convertible pulled up behind me and tooted the horn so I’d creep forward so they could turn left,, driver started waving her hands like a loon, so I dipped the clutch put me foot down hard on the accelerator and let it sit on full revs For a few seconds and looked in me mirror,, woman in the car opposite me was crying with laughter, I just waved to them in me mirror and pulled forward slightly,,, they were still coughing as they went past,,,, 😂😂,,, the woman opposite was in tears bless her,, did make me chuckle though.

It’s my body that’s aged badly, especially when working underneath the Mondy, mind you that’s when I get the stares and smiles. Perhaps it’s the amount of grease, oil and dirt over my face

Brilliant, I did a similar thing in a old citroen diesel whilst just in front of 2 cyclists riding side by side. Kind of a 'now you see me, now you don't' moment
