Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong place, I filled my screen wash up yesterday, 2016 mondeo, tested it and the front worked fine but the rear didn't but left it to try again today, now no water coming from any jet and I have discovered the rear passenger foot well is soaking wet, I know it's screen wash as it smells of cherry and this is what I used.

Had the car about 3 months and it worked fine when I got it but this is first time I have filled it.

any ideas where this might be leaking in from.

thanks

Welcome. I don't think a screenwash leak is related to your engine being diesel, so yes wrong sub-forum, maybe interior or electrical would have been a better one but its not obvious.

I think I've read that the front to rear washer pipe is routed in the headlining over the doors down one side. How it then gets into the hatch/tailgate will be different from hatch to estate, so may be worth adding what body shape you have there. Hopefully someone here has had the roof lining off or can point to a video to show you where to look.

ok, sorry for wrong forum, I think it must be leaking in from the front, the head lining is dry as is the boot but it is damp in the drivers foot well, (not a lot), under the drivers seat is worse and then the rear foot well is soaked.

its a titanium saloon

Ah, so no rear wiper then. How about a faulty sunroof drain?

It's possible, with you saying it's definitely cherry smelling and so it is screen wash that the pipes are there but capped off, it's a matter of following them to see where they go.

Do you park on a slope and the fluid could be leaking into the front and running down to the rear, where it is collecting?
