  • Engine sometimes smells like rotton eggs
  • Strong smell of petrol and oil coming through air conditioning
  • Engine cuts out sometimes when I come to a stop

Engine smells of rotten eggs, put petrol in and give the engine a good blast

on motorway in low gear for a hour heats up the cat to burn away the old deposits.

Changed the pollen filter recently? Can you smell the petrol under the bonnet?

If you smell oil burning, then maybe you have a leak somewhere where its dripping on something hot and it starts to burn. The smell of gasoline COULD be a bad O2 sensor, its because it is running rich and hasnt triggered the check engine light. Also the smell of petrol could also be a leaking gas line(ask me how i know). And squeaking on low speeds is a very familiar description of what i had before changing the front rotors and pads. Didnt know what it was it went away when braking.

Hope i helped you.
