Why not repair the pipe with your welder? You could slip a slightly larger diameter pipe over it and weld it all together or you could butt weld the pipe, but the sleeve will be easier to weld, would be cheaper than the bolt type joiner, and as you have a flange right next to it it serves no purpose anyway.
Something like this.

It would be a better end result, but in all honesty I hate welding under the car. I am fine on the bench in the garage but it just isn't fun under the car! Putting a bit of paste in and tightening a couple of bolts sounds so much nicer!

All back together and sounds perfect.

I left the cat as it was and simply replaced, the outer Flexi is split but the inner Flexi send to be good still. So not leaking there

The flange with bolts in place is holding nicely and the coupler went on well.

Total cost was less than £15, much better than the £850 quoted to replace the whole system! Hopefully that will see me through for a while.

I did notice another minor problem. I'll post a new topic about that one...
