Hi everyone,
I’ve recently purchased a 2011 Ford Fiesta, although I’ve noticed when the aircon is turned on the fan seems to be very loud. Is this normal? (See video link)
Thanks

The fiesta 7 are generally quite a loud fan when operating, but I’ve also changed quite a few for excessively noisy. Unfortunately i can’t tell with your video.

Thanks for your reply. Is there a generic way to tell if it needs replacing? Or literally just by how loud it is.

Most develop excessive movement within the fan hub bearing, maybe you could compare to a similar vehicle?

We had a 2013 fiesta and the a/c fan was almost constantly on, so I don't think it's any different with yours Kmh457 from the sound of it. When the bearings in the fan failed eventually, I was not surprised, it was obvious from the high pitched squeaking noises it was making...
