Hi

This pic borrowed from Ford manual. Which end of arrow obviously depends on which side of car.

The mounts arrow side is higher than other side, as suspension turret slopes

downwards slightly towards engine.

To help clarify, what has been done to both the inner and outer track rod arms on the front?

Car had fitted three racks (used, recon, brand new -still on the car), and every time rack had fitted new track rod ends

Hi

Its ideal if track front and back is slightly different, all that is important is that with front wheels straight any gaps are exactly the same on both sides.

And yes if top mount is not correctly aligned car will run off.

Peter

In that case I'll have to do taht string check and see what will happen.

This is what I started to think, after speaking to MOT guy and what my mate said regarding arrows on top mounts

My top mount are aftermarket and had only arrows there was no white line on them.

When I replaced faulty shock, I fitted top mount that arrow is outside and along side the wheel arch.
