Hi,

I have a Ford Fiesta Titanium  Mk7 (2009) and there is a noise coming from behind the centre console. I have recorded this on video for people to listen to.

It occurs

  • Irrespective of whether the cars climate control is turned on or off.
  • It also happens without the ignition or engine being on
  • It has occurred as soon as I open the door to the car without even putting the key in the ignition.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I might be clutching at straws here, but my MK4 Mondeo has climate control and when you get in the car after unlocking or when you turn the engine off, it goes through a set and shut down procedure .

It sounds to me that the flaps are sticking as if the cogs that move the directional flaps are stuck.

Does the climate control work as it should and can you change from the windscreen to the front vents or the floor or any combination of the above?

Mondeo 2.5T Tit X 2008, in panther black, sportspack and privacy glass. Never seem another model like it in my area.

My wife`s 2010 has the same noise. I think it`s from one of the motors/ flaps in the heater box
