I'm looking to import a 1600E and one of the possible  stumbling blocks might presence of asbestos in the vehicle.

Can anyone tell where there may be asbestos present in any parts possibly clutch plate, brake pads, exhaust manifold gasket?

Was asbestos used on the underneath of the bonnet or along the exhaust track?

Appreciate any help thanks Rob

Any of the gaskets can contain asbestos.  Head gasket. waterpump gasket, gearbox gaskets,

diff gaskets... etc.. etc...

Soundproofing?  not sure.

Also it may have left the factory with non asbestos parts but fitted at a later date.

ie. a headgasket swap, someone may have fitted an asbestos gasket.
