MK5 Mondeo 180 2.0l TDCI

Hi All,

Thought I had found the collant loss i'd been having. I replaced the pipe that comes from the thermostat housing to the expansion bottle. It had been leaking at the thermostat housing.

Since that point, the area around the thermostat housing is bone dry, no water to be seen, this is also the case with the expansion bottle.

Now the coolant loss is much much slower than it was, it's still loosing coolant. nohtning obvious

Any help would be great!

John

Just changed the header tank on one of mine, following an issue with the EGR cooler, the bottle was filled with black water, bypassed the EGR cooler water loss solved, however have discovered a leak from the expansion tank, I think the pressure may have been getting to high and blowing through the side release.
