No, I had no issues leaving it in place.

I have a 2009 Titanium Sport X 2.2 tdci which only has 75k miles on but is now 10 years old. I'm told the timing belt is now due to be replaced due to it being 10 years old.

I'm intending to replace the timing belt,tensioner,waterpump and aux belt. I've changed loads of timing belts myself but never done one on this car.

Can anyone tell me which kit is best such as Gates, Ini etc ?

Can anybody give me a guide on the replacement or tell me where to get one from please ?

In relation to parts if you want genuine Ford ones look up the part numbers on

http://www.catcar.in...DA3LTIwMTQifQ==

then search ebay for them.

I've always found Rates Ford to be great discounters for Ford parts. If the part you want isn't listed, email them and they will give you a price and then list it for you.

Mondeo 2.5T Tit X 2008, in panther black, sportspack and privacy glass. Never seem another model like it in my area.

I took the engine mount off just for more room. I cable tied to fuel pipes at the top of the engine out of the way too so I could get in at the belt.

Only just got round to starting replacing my Timing belt and Waterpump today.

Had a nightmare getting the timing belt top cover off due to the crankshaft sensor cable that's clipped to the cover.

Anyone else had this problem as nobody else seems to have mentioned it ?

Just cut the cable ties and replace afterwards
