Just a quick, easy, one, from someone who's dumb as a bag of rocks.

 

Are the fuses in the (/all?) Mk3's "Micro3 ATL" or "Micro2 APT,ATR" type fuses?

 

I'm happy for the title of this list/thread/etc to have the wrong type removed and question mark replaced with an exclamation point, or removed, if confirmed ... of course.

 

Annoyingly (but with no anger at those responsible), I couldn't find this detailed in my Haynes manual, on the Ford Wiki Fuse Page (just double checked with the above types), or on here (googled, and forum searched), so I thought that having it confirmed might just be useful for anyone else as dumb as I am!

 

Hope this is easy for someone. I measured the outside of a fuse to 13mm, which basically could be either of those mentioned, I guess.

 

Usual caveat of not expecting, or feeling entitled to answers is fully in effect. You're all brilliant, of course!

Micro 3 has 3 legs. Micro 2 has only 2 legs. All fuses in mondeo are 2 leg ones. Some are bigger (normal size) some are micro ones.

Have ordered some generics off of Amazon ... which I think will do the trick.

Test they actually do blow.  I remember poundland recalling some car fuses that failed

to blow at the correct ratings.

 

Sacrifice one and see how much current you can put through one before it pops.
