Couple of years ago my lovely Mrs arranged a track experience at Goodwood where I got to take a 1967 GT500 around the track -
Well, yesterday she treated me again but at Bovington, yes where the tanks go but in these wee beasties instead
and
The GT500 this time is a 2008 Shelby GT500 with a 5.0L V8 chucking out 420 bhp & 631 lb. -ft.
0 - 60mph in 3.5 Seconds and would go onto 202 mph with enough straight and a nutter behind the wheel.
The Dodge is a 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat with a Twin Supercharged 6.2L V8 making a measly 707 bhp & 650 lb. -ft.
0 - 62mph in 5.2 Seconds and a top speed of 199 mph.
The Mustang was an awesome car, though a tad larger than I'd like to live with, and left hand drive but it kept up well with a Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2 on the corners and only loosing a bit of ground on the straights, but the Hellcat was a BEAST. Still a lard arse and left hand drive but also had a very soft suspension for it's weight so any bumps would loosen it right up making corners a bit of a handful but opening it up on the straights had me buried in the seat.
Still waiting for the videos to come through but will add links when they do, unless they're too embarrassing :whistling:
