I’ve been hearing a noise when the car is slowing down in gear. Faint scraping noise. Goes when I dip the clutch or press the accelerator.

I decided to check my fluids (all ok) and then had a look under the engine cover. Low and behold, an oily pipe. I’m assuming this is a leaky pipe, and I’m assuming it’s the Intercooler pipe.

Can someone please help me ID the pipe (with item number if possible). Also, is this pipe the likely culprit, or would the leak be elsewhere and this is a victim of the leak.

Images to follow ....

For quick reference, it is the pipe circled with the arrow pointing to it.

I’m not sure, but could be item number 1530297

If someone could confirm, that would be awesome.

I've got a very small split at the neck of this pipe too. Is that a 2.0 tdci?
