Hello friends,

I have the following issue: the front passenger door is closed and stuck in the double lock state. I cannot open the door from the inside, outside or with the remote.

I took of (broke off) the door card, so I have access to the lock mechanism from the inside. I have tried absolutely everything I can think of, but I cannot manage to open the door. I need this door open ASAP because my MOT failed because of the door not opening.

I can manage to get the door in the 'half-open' stage by pressing on the door 'hook' (which actually holds the door shut) with a screwdriver, but - because the lock is in double-lock - there's a steel safety pin directly below that hook, which prevents the hook from going down far enough to completely unlock, but allows it to go down far enough to get it in the half-open stage. This is the same stage you're in when you don't push a door completely shut.

I have tried pushing, pulling & rotating the moving part of the electric lock, but everything is completely stuck in it's current position.

I guess my question and last hope is whether any of you know how to open this lock from the inside. I tried taking photo's, but my camera for some reason fails to focus / expose correctly. If photo's are needed let me know, I'll give it a few more tries.

Many thanks!

Only idea that comes to mind is feed external source of power to the lock

I wonder if you remove the fuse to the central locking circuits it'll disable the solenoid which could be holding the door lock shut.. worth trying.?

I think the solenoid just moves a cog or something to the deadlock position, then that's it, powers down.

Thought i had replied to this.. losing the plot :)

How did you deadlock it?  Whats the issue with the lock itself, are you sure its not actually

unlocked but the handle is not operating the lock to open the door?
