I'm reading your posts and it gives me chills.

I have a galaxy 2.0 (60reg) auto and the engine stopped unexpectedly yesterday.

It has happened on a downhill approach to a roundabout at 20-30mph. As I was entering the roundabout i have noticed the lights on a dash (like before starting a car) and the engine malfunction message on the cash. I have coasted to the roadworks lane (empty) and restarted the car. Continued on the journey home without any further issues. No warning lights on a dash.

My difference is i have an auto box so gear selection on a downhill approach to the roundabout is done automatically and I must have been in 3rd or 4th gear.

I had 40 miles range and no low fuel info on a dash.

Any ideas?

I thought I will throw this issue in to the mix.
