Hi there

We've got a 2014 Ford Kuga, which the battery keeps going flat on

We have charged and tested the battery, all ok

We have checked for any battery drains, and once the car is all locked up, everything goes to sleep, there is no drain

However, over night, the battery is going flat

We have spoken to a Ford dealer to see if there is any software updates etc, which they say there is none

We have also changed the Bluetooth module as we found on google there had been an issue with these, but the problem is still there

Any help would be greatly appreciatted

Thanks in advance

Do you leave anything plugged in to the power sockets as i believe these dont turn off.

The power sockets turn off automatically approx 15 mins after locking veh.
They turn back on again as soon as you unlock veh ( so you could think they were/are never off)

The Mondeo MK4 electrical section, flat battery syndrome and other threads will give good suggestions on various things to check and procedures to follow

Even when asleep there will be a drain. MK4 suggestions are Bluetooth keeps looking

for a connection even when locked.

USB sticks staying powered.

Several threads have delved deeper and many systems stay alive long after the car should

have gone to sleep.

My car shuts down completely and appears to keep the battery at 12.2 volts, it disables

the remote locking so i know when its gone into a deep sleep, but with mine it sits

unused for a week or so.

No harm in resurrecting the topic since, as in a lot of posts, there is never any feedback. I wonder if the OP will see this and post a reply?

They might have just looked as guests though

Makes you wonder who hand picked that car...   :)

They are a garage in Skegness it seems, selling hand picked cars.

Serviced and maintained the same as dealers, probably right as dealers didnt seem

to know how to cure the problem either.   :D
