Using my £5 android long lead endoscope I got some excellent video showing down the water channel from scuttle plate down to pavement!

Got some photos too. 

 

Looks like I can see a seam not sealed near the top about 500-600mm from the car floor. Not sure exactly where it is yet but also found the drain channel hole through a horizontal brace totally blocked with crud and leaves. Once I managed to clear that with a hook on the endoscope I could push the camera right down to the pavement. Then I videoed. After that I put a hose down and flushed it out.

Looks like trim loose at 0.44s. Camera snagged so had to spin to get out and lost orientation.

The top part is dirty where it was blocked.

Water still getting in!

What have you done to seal the leaking area,i smeared a layer of silicone 

where i thought it was leaking then again when it dried and its been dry since.

Checked before after this heavy rain and footwell is still dry.

The areas you show mondy Z are well sealed on mine, but is running down that from above. It is coming in at the top of the inner where I cannot get to. Thought clearing the water channel might stop water building up and seeping through, I had a hose pipe running from the scuttle for 10 mins with no ingress. 

 

Think is is getting in the vertical seam between the outer wing and car bulkhead near the top below and behind the bonnet hinges. The video shows a vertical seam not sealed all the way along its length, so might be that.

 

Gonna clean as much as poss and get the cavity wax sealant and long nozzle and try that.
