Thanks Rob,most are paying £190 for 1st service ,but 2nd service on a 1.0 fiesta 2015 came to £275

and i was promised to be ripped off for £335 and another £30 for mot on 3rd service, but warranty ends

by then.

I was just comparing  what others were paying for a service deal and ordinary servicing.

I just don't know where they get the prices from at all. Its not even like they do anything special. I'm going to be doing mine on the drive as soon as i can.

I get mine serviced at Essex Ford, Dunton, part of the Essex Autogroup who give me 12 months breakdown cover with my service which makes the cost a bit more bearable. Saves me over £100.

All Ford dealers give the 12 months RAC cover when servicing Ford cars, as a contiuation of the first 12 months new cover.

Not like RAC is expensive at around £15 a year for roadside.

Got AA breakdown cover here, used them when car was totally dead as ford dealer says they

don't do call outs to breakdowns,AA wanted me to pay £265 for new battery, ford tested battery

and it was software not shutting down draining the battery.

So breakdown cover is probably what we are paying for in the service so the dealer does not

have to incur cost for breakdowns to a new car.

How likely is your car to break down when it's new? Get a quote to have it serviced at your local garage using ford parts

I know what Ford are like with warranty, those dealer stamps make it a lot easier than a local garage.

After that there wont be any stamps in mine, just a print out of the etis schedule ticked and the receipts for the parts.

Just have to suck it up for a couple of years. Might only need the second 36k service within the 3 years, that's March 2019.
