I suspect this start stop device will aid the dmf longevity as it deters people from riding the clutch.

Plus the eco thing that nags you if you're in the wrong gear

After doing about 1000 miles with it fitted, mostly motorway and easy on the throttle driving , cruise control mainly at 70 It's showing 54 mpg which is fab considering it's 4x4

54mpg? Bells. I only get about 40! I do drive it hard though.

I do lots of long journeys, take it easy with acceleration, put it on cruise control at 70 and it's amazing how much better they are on fuel. Gets a bit boring but think of the money. When it was delivered it had been driven about 130 miles and was showing 34 ! Wtf he'd been doing I don't know

Lol. Most of my commutes are 40 miles on cross country A/B roads. I get about 50 on a fully loaded family holiday run to Devon.

You'll have to stick an ST badge on it with that power, nice one, enjoy.

Whats a DMF ?

Dual mass flywheeel, diesels have them as do many modern petrol engines these days. Its to reduce the vibrations that a high compression engine produces and has been a weak point in the past...
