I have a Mondeo MK5 Tdci 2.0 150ps Automatic Trend. In this nice car there is Active City Stop wich works perfectly. On the right side of the gear selector i have a button to turn it off. But i also have a setting in on of the displays where i can turn it off. The problem is when i turn it off in the menu it is not turned off the next time i go for a ride. So when i restart the car with the key out and everything it resets the settings.

Hi Dan

Which of the buttons to the right are you referring to? The one that also mutes the distance sensors?

How did you test the city stop anyway? I don't have the guts to do it..

I have it too & want to know if it works BUT...

I think that Danm082 is actually referring to Auto-start-stop.

Twinsport, I think I read somewhere that to test, IN A SAFE PLACE, Drive towards some cardboard boxes, and it should stop. I think speed also reflects on what it does

I know. I just keep forgetting collecting large cardboard boxes.

Might try it out on my kids :D ? . I'll better not tell the wife first.

My kids wouldn't fall for that but the grandkids might.

Sorry that I haven't replied to your answers. The thing i am talking about is what stops the engine when I am holding for a red light. It's not something to save pedestrian with.

And you are correct. Each time you start the engine, the system reset itself.
